Basierend auf erweiterten, Computer unterstützten Materialstress-Simulationen ist es PRINCIPIA gelungen ein völlig neues Carbon Laminierungsverfahren für seine FLOW Gabel zu entwickeln.
Dabei vereinigt die Gabel die drei wichtigsten Anforderungen: geringes Gewicht, hohe Seitensteifigkeit und besten Komfort. Enger stehende Gabelscheiden und ein ovalisiertes Steuerrohr erhöhen die vertikalen Federeigenschaften und damit die Stossadsorption bei gleich bleibender Seitensteifigkeit. Mit 320g ist die
FLOW die leichteste PRINCIPIA Gabel, die je entwickelt wurde.

The latest generation of Principia’s acclaimed aluminium technology with conified and triple butted aluminium tubing; made from a newly developed alloy with improved comfort properties that set a completely new standard for aluminium frame tubing. After the TIG welding the PRINCIPIA MAGNUM ALUMINIUM frames go through an advanced multi-stage heat treatment process for maximum strength and stiffness.

The latest generation of Principia’s trademark elliptical bottom bracket and head tube design. The increased diameter of the idsection of the tubes adds rigidity and strength without increasing weight. The ELLIPSE PROJECT gives you more efficient power transfer and more control when it counts.

Carbon seat posts are generally light and strong but can be fragile when fitted incorrectly. The pressure that the seat post is subjected to when tightening the seat clamp can be critical and even structurally fatal. Principia’s unique CARBON FRIENDLY SEAT TUBE gently distributes the pressure load over a larger area of the seat post. This clever design feature is safer for both you and your seat post.

Traditional frame design uses tubing with identical diameters and wall thicknesses for all frame sizes. Either this makes the smaller frame sizes too heavy or the larger frame sizes insufficiently strong and stiff. Principia’s DESIGN 2 SIZE technology optimizes the tubing specifications for the individual frame sizes ensuring optimum riding characteristics for riders of all sizes.

Principia’s SX GEOMETRY adapts the slope of the top tube to the individual frame sizes adding more slope to the smaller frame sizes and less slope to the larger frame sizes. This means that tall riders do not have to use long seat posts that are structurally weak and unaesthetical.

This technology is an invisible stroke of genius that takes the TiW technology one step further by letting one tube penetrate another completely, rather than just placing the two closely together. This allows for smaller tolerances, superior welds and lower weight – all at the same time. TUBE INSERTED WELDING 2 is used to your advantage where the head tube joins the top tube and where the seat tube joins the bottom bracket.
